For a long time now we have been involving Makenna in our family prayers at night, by having her kneel and fold her arms while we pray. For awhile she loved this and would happily join us saying a loud amen at the end of the prayer, but lately she has been more interested in continuing to do whatever it was she was doing before (most often reading books) than participating. In an attempt to get her excited again, we started having Makenna say the prayer (with a little help).
Here was her prayer last night:
Father (Heavenly Father)
Than tum (thank you) ma ma
Than tum da da
Than tum baby
Yes (agreeing with a statement I made as a prompt)
Yes
Jesus
Amen
There are some moments that happen as a parent that you know you will remember and cherish. Hearing my sweet little girl's first prayers is one of those moments.

Aww I can only imagine how listening to her just melts your heart! She's gonna be such a good big sister!
So sweet!
Super cute, those are the moments you'll remember forever. My child on the other hand gave me a nasty scratch across the chest for trying to make her sit and hold still during prayers. The price you pay when trying to do the right thing!
That is so sweet! :)
Tan Tum that is so cute. Lauren did really well praying out loud and then lost interest. But when she was did we prayed for a lot of peoples carseats. Hearing kids is pray is one of my all time favorite things. Hope all is going well with future baby brother and student income, (or lack thereof)
So sweet!
adorable! When I was in the primary, my absolute favorite part was helping the kids say the prayer...or just hearing what comes out of their mouths prompted or not. So sweet. I'm thinking that those are Heavenly Father's favorites as well :)
